A beautiful vintage decorative plate from the Christmas series designed by Paul Hoff for Gustavsberg, Sweden. A wonderful addition to any collector of Scandinavian pottery. It's also a fantastic and meaningful gift for someone who was born in 1991.
Paul Hoff, a ceramics and glass artist, was born in 1945 in Stockholm. He was educated at the city's University of Arts, Crafts, and Design in 1963 to 1968 and, after that, was hired by Gustavsberg's Porcelain Factory in 1969 to 1974. During this period, Paul designed mainly dinnerware, collector plates, and figurines. His artworks became very popular among collectors.

Gustavsberg is a Swedish producer of porcelain. The production consists both of kitchen porcelain and sanitary porcelain. Gustavsberg sanitary porcelain is a brand under Villeroy & Boch today, while Gustavsberg porcelain lives on in a reconstructed form in Gustavsberg near Stockholm, Sweden.
